Hello everyone,
I am beating the heat (our outside thermometers register 100 degrees right now) in the cool comfort of our air-conditioned home and writing this update. First, my apologies for taking so long to report that Joe's June scans were clear. [YAHOO!] I think at this point we operating under the notion that no news is good news. His next scans will be in September which has given us a lovely break for the summer.
As is probably obvious from my choice of pictures we have so far had a baseball-filled summer. Seth played on three baseball teams all together. In fact, we are in the middle of his end of the season tournament for the 13 y-o Babe Ruth All Star team.
Joe was thrilled to be back on the field playing for the Kansas City Royals in the 8 & 9 y-o pitching machine league. Thanks to the wonders of the consistent pitching by said machine (and thanks to the obsessive, I mean thorough, statistics kept by Joe's coach) I can report that his batting average was an astonishing .841!
We have had lots of lovely time with family and will be ending the summer with a trip to the Britton cabin in Turtle Lake, WI. The kids will start school again on August 22nd, Joe in 3rd grade and Seth in 8th.
We hope this update finds you all well.
Love,
Jenny, Tom, Seth, Joe and Happy the dog
Britton/Saeuglings,
Fabulous news about Joe! Sounds like it's been a very action packed summer.
We're keeping our fingers crossed and sending lots of positive vibes on continued terrific news.
Enjoy these last few weeks of summer.
Love,
Keith, Deb, Greg, and Ellyn
I am soooo glad to hear everyone is doing well and having a great summer! I loved the baseball pictures! I miss all of you! Take care
